About plastr

Sponsor space is everywhere. A drift car runs twelve events a season with four blank panels on it. A podcast films every episode against a wall nobody has ever sold. A golf bag walks eighteen holes twenty-two times a year. A food truck has six hundred people a week standing three feet from a flat white panel.

None of that is buyable. Getting a logo onto any of it means knowing the person, negotiating over DMs, agreeing a price with no reference points, and trusting each other on delivery. Most of it never happens, so the space stays blank.

plastr makes that space into something you can buy: photographed, priced, described, and bought in one transaction. If you own something people look at, you can list it in about five minutes. If you are a brand, you can buy placements no ad network sells — and see exactly what you get before you pay.

How we keep it honest

  • Human review. Every listing is reviewed by a person before it goes live, and sponsor artwork is accepted before anything is produced with it.
  • Money that follows the work. A sponsor pays once. Part of a creator’s proceeds can be released up front as a production advance, so the vinyl and the print and the booth can actually be paid for — that part is committed to producing the placement. Everything plastr still holds is released after a person checks the proof of delivery.
  • Made whole when it goes wrong. If a creator does not deliver, or misrepresented what they sold, the sponsor is refunded in full and we pursue the released advance from the creator. Where nobody is at fault, the sponsor gets back everything plastr still holds, including our fee.
  • Real numbers only. Marketplace totals and activity come from the database. Owner-reported reach is labelled as owner-reported, and only evidence we have actually reviewed is called reviewed. Our own example listings are labelled as examples everywhere they appear and never count as supply.
  • A flat 10%. Sellers keep 90% of every sale. No listing fees, no hidden processing surprises.

The full payment schedule, with the caps and the exact conditions, is on how it works, and the clauses behind it are in the terms.

Who runs it

plastr is built and operated by Ames Create, a creator-marketing company in Indiana that has spent years doing this the manual way for creators and brands. plastr is that work, turned into a marketplace. It is a young product and we say so — there is no invented company history here.
