Our story started long before SCLA.CLIPS. We’re Marvin and Erick, two lifelong friends who have known each other since we were seven, born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. We created @SCLA.CLIPS to share the neighborhood we know and love. The hardworking people, small businesses, and culture that don’t always get the attention they deserve. We began using our phones, drone and creativity to tell those stories, often highlighting local businesses for free. Along the way, our content has reached millions of viewers, earned news coverage, and helped connect mom & pop businesses with thousands of locals. Through projects like our Locals Only Passport, we’ve taken that mission beyond social media and encouraging people to explore South Central and spend locally. At the heart of everything we do is a simple goal: give back to the community that raised us and help our neighbors feel seen, supported, and proud of where they come from.
